107m Kleven explorer superyacht nears completion

Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven’s 107m explorer superyacht Ulysses, is currently undergoing its final outfitting before it departs from Germany.

In August, Ulysses was moved from Norway to Germany and since then, Dőrries Marine has been working on its final outfit. Kleven, usually known for more commercial vessels, is also currently building a second vessel for Hart, a 116m version of Ulysses.

Ulysses is Kleven’s first private superyacht build, announced by the shipbuilder in March 2013 and commissioned by New Zealand businessman Graeme Hart. She is able to accommodate 60 guests over seven decks and, according to Kleven, “blends a robust, hard-working character with luxurious added extras.”

The hull was designed by Norway’s ship design company Marin Teknikk, which has previously worked with Kleven on a number of its offshore vessels. Ståle Rasmussen, CEO of Kleven said, “We have worked with Marin Teknikk for many years, developing numerous offshore vessels together, and the collaboration between us always works well. This vessel is a good example of our ability to develop and build specialised vessels and prototypes.”

Svein, Rune Gjerde, CEO of Marin Teknikk commented, “This has been a different and interesting project for our design team.”

The interior of Ulysses was then designed by H2 Yacht Design. She includes a variety of features including a helicopter landing pad and garage, and a swimming pool, as well as room to host a 21m tender on the foredeck.
