Abeking & Rasmussen launches 68m superyacht Soaring

German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen has launched its 68-metre (223-foot) superyacht Soaring, after she left the shed earlier in the week. She will now be prepared for sea trials, ahead of April when she is due to be delivered.

Custom-designed by Bremen-based Focus Yacht Design, the yard has described Soaring as a “custom-made floating home that leaves nothing to be desired by her owner”.

The yacht will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins, with five rooms situated on the main deck and the master suite located on the aft upper deck. The owner’s deck will feature a library and a private aft deck with lounging areas. The yacht will also have room for 17 crew members.

Soaring’s sundeck will boast a bar and Jacuzzi, while the lower deck will comprise a beach club, gym, spa, steam room and swim platform.

Thomas Mühe, managing director of Focus Yacht Design, commented, “We are very excited to see how great our concepts for interior and exterior design are coming into being. The shipyard works like clockwork and the opportunity to work on both design spheres allows an integrated and holistic approach."

The yacht will be powered by a pair of 2000hp MTU 12V4000 diesel engines.

Now available for charter with Ocean Independence, Soaring is set to cruise the Mediterranean mid-2020, specifically to Naples, Sicily, Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia.
