Arcadia Yachts acquires 21% of Marina di Torre Annunziata

Arcadia Yachts has announced it is expanding its shipyard facilities after acquiring 21% of Marina di Torre Annunziata in Italy.

The new site, located next to their current facility, represents a 30% increase, with an entire production area now greater than 47,000 square metres. Arcadia Yachts' production capacity has therefore increased by roughly 11,000 square metres, of which 40% is indoors.

The new development is the result of investments worth more than €30,000,000 over the past 10 years, a strategic choice aimed at supporting an increase in the number of yachts under production and the after-sales services.

Ugo Pellegrino, sole director of Arcadia Yachts commented, “To  increase  production  capacity,  to  develop  larger  products  without  altering  the  Aracadia  DNA  and  to  continue  having  a  solid  and  direct  relationship  with  our  customers  are  the  reasons  behind  this  operation.

“The  orders  taken,  the  ongoing  negotiations  and  the  enthusiasm  recorded  for  the  most  recent  models  encourage  me  and  the  other  shareholders  to  take  on  our  entrepreneurial  responsibilities  and  seize  all  the  opportunities  that  arise  - obviously  assessing  the  related  risks,” he added.

The shipyard’s expansion has reiterated the importance that Arcadia Yachts has associated with after-sales activities – with 40% of customers this year having the shipyard deal with the wintering and maintenance of their vessels.

Pellegrino further stated, “It  was  almost  automatic  for  us  to  identify  the  acquisition  of  21%  of  the  Marina  di  Torre  Annunziata  as  a  fundamental  option  for  the  natural  growth  of  our  activities,  in  line  with  our  principles  and  with  what  we  have  done  so  far.”
