Arcadia Yachts sells first A100+ shortly after company rebrand

Arcadia Yachts has sold the first unit of its A100+ model to a British owner, two months after its rebranding presentation at the Montenapoleone Yacht Club in Milan.

The first of many yachts to be designed in collaboration with Milan design studio Hot Lab, Arcadia explained that the A100+ is the evolution of the 30m Arcadia presented at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Antonio Romano, partner at Hot Lab said, “In general we will respect the masculine lines, clean and multifaceted, that represent the familiar image of the yard; we will reinterpret them to further develop the on-board living spaces, both inside and out, that represent the quintessence of each Arcadia yacht.”

She is what Arcadia brands as “a great yacht” on which to enjoy the sea, wildlife and family time, as design focus has been given to the leisure and entertainment areas on board.

Her notable features include full-height windows and open living areas to limit the use of air conditioning on board. She also has solar panels integrated into her superstructure and state-of-the-art thermally isolated windows to make her more ecological.

The upper deck has been made larger, and the foredeck ‘optimised’ to improve access and movement with more efficient positioning of the stairwells.

The aft deck will house a formal dining table for up to 10 guests, with space for a further 12 guests in the lounge area, which is transformable into a secondary dining area.

The upper deck has also been transformed from previous Arcadia designs by combining interior and exterior areas to create a large leisure area with a view out to sea, while protecting the privacy of guests on board.

Hot Lab has created five different layout options for the A100+ in “contemporary minimalist décor that perfectly matches exterior styling”, to simplify the design choices for potential owners – thus reducing development times.

In a recent press release, Arcadia Yachts explained, “Interior design is simple and linear, yet rich in detailing and finishings. It attracts attention, letting new visitors discover new aspects with every glance. A perfect mix of contemporary design and neo-ornamentalism that unifies typical products of high Italian design with exotic rarely used materials like Carbalho wood and resin panelling.

“The architectural container and its content are merged, creating the impression of carefully elaborated detailing found  aboard  a  water-level  attic.  Soft materials like leather and cotton with warm woods like natural oak with ebony accents complete the colour palette that includes the entire spectra of warm grey, sand, clear cream and black and white. A restful environment, warm and welcoming, even though luxuriously composed.”

Following the sale of hull number 12 of the A85 range to a British owner last July, Arcadia Yachts has announced its strengthened position in the British market.
