Australia Thailand Rendezvous proves a brilliant success

The Australia Thailand Rendezvous, sponsored by Benetti Yachts, commenced on 7^th February 2020 and was a huge success.

The event took place in Phuket Haven Marina in Thailand, and attracted 14 vessels carrying captains and crews who were eager to get involved and be updated on the Australian superyacht industry on goings, and hear of the potential opportunities and benefits involved by adding Australia as a destination.

This rendezvous follows after exceptional results of the Pacific Rendezvous in both Fiji and Tahiti, which were conducted by Superyacht Australia.

During the event, the day’s activities included a morning tea expo, VIP captain’s lunch, best dressed competition, BBQ cooking competition and a networking party. The entertainments kept captains and crews engaged with informative exchanges and invaluable networking experiences that could be successful at bringing back the teams to Australia.

Peter Mahoney, general manager of Benetti Yachts and major sponsor of the Rendezvous, praised the event, commenting, “Congratulations to Superyacht Australia for an enjoyable and well run 1^st edition event. Yacht Haven Marina was the perfect Phuket setting with an impressive backdrop of superyachts in the marina including Benetti’s – Diamonds Are Forever and Formosa adding to the fleet.
