Italian yacht builder Baglietto, has launched a new 54m superyacht from its facility in La Spezia, its largest yacht to date.
Bought by a European owner, the #10219 is an aluminium displacement superyacht, based on Baglietto’s 53m platform.
According to the brand, the yacht’s aesthetic features are a ‘preview’ for the restyling that will characterise the 43m, 48m and 55m yachts currently under construction at the shipyard, as well as the forthcoming 58m and 62m superyacht projects.
Yacht Designer Francesco Paszkowski Design, worked on her exterior lines and interior design, marking the designer’s 33rd exterior project and 26th interior project for Baglietto. The interior was also worked on by Italian architect, Margherita Casprini.
A ceremony was recently held to officially launch the new yacht, where her new owner, shipyard workers and civil and military authorities took part.
In a statement, Baglietto revealed that it is soon to create a range of fast planning yachts, ‘which will stand out for their streamlined, aggressive profile.’ The first 46m model in this range is then set to be launched in April 2016, and is highly likely to feature in the brand’s display of yachts at next year’s international boat shows.
Another new project underway at Baglietto is its MV range – ‘a modern reinterpretation of historical underwater assault vehicles’. These include the MV13 and MV19, which, similar to the 46m yacht, are due to be launched this spring.
