Barracuda Yacht Design unveils 55m tri-deck motor yacht concept

The Barracuda Yacht Design studio has unveiled a 55-metre (180-foot) tri-deck motor yacht concept. A 500GT vessel, she comprises an aluminium hull and superstructure and 8.3-metre beam.

Key features include a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck, tender garage on the main deck and sunpads on the flybridge – with an abundance of exterior dining space beneath a protective bimini.

The lower deck beach club is equipped with 7.2-metre “wings” that open either side, while the upper deck lounge has its own pantry and serving area.

Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across a full-beam owner’s suite (adorned with sea terraces on either side) and four symmetrical guest cabins on the main deck, which are all accessed from a central corridor connecting to the main deck saloon, dining area and aft deck. The crew quarters, located on the lower deck, allow for up to 10 members of staff.

The news comes after the yard showcased a 44-metre (144-foot) sailing sloop concept midway through 2018. The “sailing explorer” also accommodates 10 guests and was billed as a “fresh and robust concept in a stuck sailing market”.
