In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Spanish studio Barracuda Yacht Design has unveiled its 62-metre (203-foot) military-inspired motor yacht concept.
The yacht, which comprises ‘OCD’ straight lines and ‘right angles and symmetry’, features in-house naval architecture and exterior design.
Featuring an 11.2-metre beam and spread out across five decks, the yacht is based on ‘strength, a sense of purpose and confidence’.
Barracuda labelled the design as “a yacht with attitude” and unveiled “the objective was to make the best use of the space available”.
Able to accommodate up to 14 guests and 18 crew members, the yacht consists of a captain’s cabin behind the bridge, and a VIP area, complete with its own private terrace, on the upper deck.
The yacht concept includes a sizable fixed swim platform and swimming pool aft, forming part of the yacht’s wellness centre, complete with a sauna and hairdressing salon.
In the main saloon, up to 12 guests can enjoy a ‘convertible’ dining area, featuring side windows that can be lowered for an al fresco eating experience.
Powered by a pair of 1800HP engines, the yacht will be able to reach a top speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and economical speed of 11 knots, for a range of 7,000 nautical miles.
