Below Deck Adventure information begins to emerge

Fresh insight has been provided on Bravo’s newly commissioned Below Deck series, Below Deck Adventure.

Confirmed alongside a second new spin-off, Below Deck Down Under, earlier this year, the US TV network have remained tight-lipped on what to expect from both shows.

However, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, senior vice president of current production for Bravo, Noah Samton, has provided a small insight into what sets Below Deck Adventure apart from its sister titles.

“We’re shooting in the fjords, so the water’s a lot colder,” he said. “If you fall in there, it can be dangerous.

“These are people [charter guests] who spend a lot of money on adventure excursions to paraglide or explore glaciers. These are not the same people who want to get a tan and drink 20 margaritas on a boat.”

While official updates have been at a premium, The Hollywood Reporter offered a detailed description of the series in an article published in May.

‘This new series takes wealthy thrill-seekers on the mega-yacht trip of a lifetime to experience thrilling YOLO adventures and daredevil activities all against some of the world’s most beautiful backdrops,’ the article noted.

‘Season one will be set in the glacial fjords of Norway where charter guests will dog sled, heli ski and cold-water plunge their way through the day, dine on freshly caught seafood straight from the Scandinavian waters in the evening, and still get all steamed up in the hot tub by night. The exacting expectations of high-end luxury coupled with the physical demands of cold-weather adventures will push the crew to new heights and unparalleled pressures that makes this new series one-of-a-kind.’

A casting call was made by producers in August, advertising the role of bosun/deckhand. Beyond this, no information on the cast/crew has been revealed.

The show will air on Bravo and is likely to premiere in early 2022.
