Bering Yachts unveils new Bering 130 expedition yacht

Bering Yachts has announced its flagship model and newest in its Expedition Series, the Bering 130.

Measuring 40m long, and with bold and powerful lines, she has been developed in association with Sabdes Design to be a “superb transoceanic yacht”, according to a statement from Bering.

The yard describes her as “ready to take on the heaviest of seas with grace and efficiency, due to a tall bow profile that provides the requisite buoyancy to rise up and over approaching swells.”

The Bering 130 is a tri-deck vessel, featuring a tall bow and Portuguese bridge and pilothouse, which are said to contribute to her functionality as well as her aesthetics. She is “every bit as capable as she looks” according to Bering, with a fuel capacity of 17,000 gallons enabling her to travel over 6,000nm.

Standout features of her exterior include a large sun deck on the flybridge with hardtop for partial shade, as well as a wet bar and large Jacuzzi. The upper deck features a sky lounge with large doors to allow for indoor/outdoor living, and alfresco dining area for up to 10 guests.

In terms of accommodation, there is a full-beam master suite located forward on the main deck, rather than on the lower deck, as is usually the case. There are also four spacious staterooms with large queen size beds and accompanying en-suite bathrooms. Also on the main deck is a fully equipped gym, massage therapy cabins, and the crew quarters.
