Cardboard Boat Race returns to Ocean Village Marina

Offered By Ocean Village & Marina Bay

The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (R.A.O.B) and Ocean Village Cardboard Boat Race returned to Ocean Village Marina for its 2022 edition, as 1,000 strong crowd gathered to watch the first event since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Contestants were challenged to build a boat using cardboard and other approved materials, adding their own touches and themes to the designs, and compete in a race around a buoy.

The event raised £4,697.49 which will be split between three important charities: GBC Open Day, St. John’s Ambulance and Gibraltar Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society.
