Carmar predicts busy season for superyachts in Crotone

One of Italy’s leading superyacht service companies Carmar, has predicated a busy season ahead for yachts and superyachts visiting Crotone and nearby ports and marinas in Italy.

In October Carmar predicted a rise in the number of yachts visiting Crotone, and they are expecting an increased number of boats for the 2014 Mediterranean summer season.

Facilities at the port have recently expanded in order to cope with the increasing demand and in order to offer berths for larger superyachts. Carmar is now able to offer services in the port itself for superyachts and yachts up to 300M, as well as smaller boats from 10M+. The size of the marina has now vastly increased; there is now an extensive amount of room for the largest yachts to manoeuvre as well as berth. Pictures can be seen above of the new facilities dedicated to superyachts.

Their services are available for the largest superyachts in the world and include duty free diesel, customs and document assistance, repairs, provisions and many other necessary requirements.

Though based in Italy, the marina staff can speak a wide range of languages including English, Spanish, French, German and Russian. According to Carmar, who are a leader in the Port Operators Committee, which includes the forty companies operating in the port of Crotone, “In 2009 a modern superyacht dock was built in the Porto Nuovo, with the ability to supply diesel fuel, electricity, water, Wi-Fi, bikes, rental cars, therefore promoting and anticipating the development of tourism in the great Calabrian port. We can offer a 24/7 service for fuel bunkering as well as very good prices and excellent customer service levels.”

There are also plans to further expand facilities and improve services, as Carmar explained, “There are more planned expansions, investments and improvements in order to ensure maximum satisfaction for customers and partners.”

Carmar has recently updated their website with information, details and pictures and has introduced a new comments page where owners, captains and crew can leave a suggestion or message.

Owned and operated by the Tricoli family, Carmar has been providing services for the marine industry since as early as 1937.
