CD Nautica and All Dipping International launch new alternative to antifouling

Custom RIB and boat builder CD Nautica has launched a new antifouling product, ‘All Dip’, in collaboration with All Dipping International. ‘All Dip’ is to be used in conjunction with ‘Marine Dipping’, a new technique and alternative to antifouling the underwater hull of a boat.

‘All Dip’ is a new, cost-effective alternative to antifouling within the marine industry. The ‘Marine Dipping’ technique involves covering an object with a removable spray film, providing protection from sun, salt, shock and friction.  

CD Nautica is the first company to apply this technique to the underwater part of boat hulls, which had previously needed a different type of treatment such as painting or other typical antifouling techniques.

‘All Dip’ can be used for a number of different techniques on a boat, from changing its colour to protecting its exterior with a resistant coating. The film can also be applied to a range of materials including steel, fibreglass, wood, rubber and glass, and is easily peeled off without leaving traces of glue that need to be scraped.

Speaking about the launch of All Dip, Diego Catalano from CD Nautica commented, “The Marine Dipping technique offers a more cost-effective solution to antifouling, as maintenance costs are reduced by the ability to simply peel away the ‘dipping’ film, rather than having to scrape the hull of the boat, RIB or tubular rubber boat.

“At this stage we are using ‘All Dip’ on luxury ribs and tenders, but we are looking to eventually extend the service to vessels of any size, including superyachts.”

CD Nautica will officially launch ‘All Dip’ at NavigaMi, a tender and small boat event in Milan held from 13^th to 15^th May, followed by the 2016 Genoa Boat Show from 20^th to 25^th September.
