CdM sells 35m new-build explorer superyacht

Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche has sold a 35-metre (115-foot) MG 115 explorer yacht to a client from the Americas.

Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, the explorer vessel features naval architecture by Hydro Tec and has a beam of 7.5 metres.

According to CdM, the yacht is an “elegant yet robust, reliable, environmentally friendly, long-range explorer vessel” that is intended for “journeys to the most remote and secluded areas of the globe”.

Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, MG 115 will possess spacious outdoor areas with large lounge and dining areas. Large windows allow natural light into both the main and upper saloons, whilst all the exterior stairs are situated on the port side.

On-board accommodation is for up to 10 guests across five suites, including two VIPs and two twins on the lower deck and a master suite forward on the main deck. Five crew members can be housed in the crew quarters, while the captain’s cabin is located on the upper deck beside the wheelhouse.

Power will come from a pair of Caterpillar C18 Acert 533kW engines for a top speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. MG 115 will have a range of 5,000 nautical miles and be compliant with IMO Tier III emission standards.

The new model forms part of the yard’s MG explorer range, which also includes the 40-metre (131-foot) MG 129, which was sold last year.

Discussing the most recent sale, CdM sales and marketing director Vasco Buonpensiere noted, “We have worked extensively on this project for months with Francesco. It stems from a fruitful collaboration between the yard’s team and the talented Florentine designer.”
