Channel 28 expands Morse button range with bespoke offerings for yachts

Following the success of its standard Morse service call buttons, Channel 28 has announced that it is expanding the range with bespoke options to match the different finishes and requirements of yacht owners and guests.

According to Channel 28, Morse was born when a large yacht management company tasked the business with the design of a modern-day service call button that did not require extensive infrastructure or installation headaches.

With the success of the initial devices, the business has now created gold and silver-plated models, with the option for anodising in multiple colours. Bespoke engraving is also offered, supplemented with a high-definition sandblasting process for an even, matte finish within each letter.

The new buttons will be showcased at the 2017 METSTRADE Show in Amsterdam.

Adrian Hicks, director of Channel 28 said, “Morse connects to the ship’s Wi-Fi and easily integrates with AV controls and radio systems, such as the Channel 28 cState system.

“Press the Morse button and a discreet coloured band will light up to show connection. It then changes to green once the request has been picked up. It also offers haptic feedback too, informing its users of progress with a gentle buzz.”

The Morse button is waterproof and uses low-energy Wi-Fi chip sets, LED lighting and a long-life battery that can often last up to two years thanks to its sleep mode intuition. The button also comes complete with an iPhone app for client use.
