Chatham has announced the appointment of two key members of staff and a considerable promotion. Joining Chatham is Ian O’Connor as sales director; Kathryn Lythgoe as product and marketing assistant, and Alex Peirce, former product and marketing assistant, has been promoted to regional sales manager.
The appointments follow a number of significant launches at Chatham this summer, including a collaboration with leisure brand, Raging Bull and the launch of Chatham’s innovative sail cloth deck shoes.
Ian O’Connor recently joined the Stuart Marsh Shoes Group as sales director, responsible for both Chatham Marine and Rainbow Club. Ian has a vast amount of footwear know-how in both men’s and women’s fashion, domestically and internationally.
He has a proven track record of designing, developing and launching fashion brands to market with an extensive understanding of brand building and positioning. Philip Marsh, managing director of Chatham Marine said, “We are sure Ian will bring renewed direction and drive to our existing sales teams and we look forward to working together to grow the business further.”
Bringing with her a wealth of experience from previous roles, Kathryn will be responsible for assisting with the product development of new ranges and implementing marketing strategies for Chatham Marine’s footwear and clothing collections.
Kathryn said, “I am thrilled to join Chatham, it is a very fast-paced and go-ahead company and I am eager to help take the business further. I believe my previous experience has given me the platform to succeed and I look forward to bringing fresh ideas to the table.”
Kathryn has a broad experience in the fashion industry having worked with lingerie, costume jewellery and footwear brands in the past. Additionally, she has worked with many well-known high street and supermarket ranges.
Philip added, “We’re delighted Ian and Kathryn have joined our team. Both bring an abundance of invaluable experience and we look forward to their contributions to Chatham.”
Kathryn takes over from Alex Peirce, who has been promoted to regional sales manager for the South West.
