Christensen prepares for launch of 50m Silver Lining

American shipyard, Christensen Yachts is getting ready to unveil its first newly completed superyacht project since the company underwent ownership changes in July 2015. The 50m Silver Lining, or 'Hull 36' as she has been known during her construction, is set to launch next month.

Jon Gilbert, president of Christensen Yachts, commented, "From the minute the gates were reopened, everyone at the shipyard has been dedicated to the timely and efficient construction of the four boats now underway. We’re excited to show the yachting industry that our new company’s construction quality exceeds even the high standards of the past.”

He continues, “All of us in management, and particularly the two people who stepped up to purchase the yard’s assets out of receivership, feel blessed that so many of our best people hung in there through those tough times and were able to rejoin the new company when it was formed last summer.

“Silver Lining is the real symbol of the rebirth of the company and a testimonial to the extraordinary boatbuilding skills of an extremely talented and dedicated workforce.”

Silver Lining features traditional black walnut interior design, with unique stonework throughout. She also boasts large living spaces and accommodates up to 12 guests over six staterooms.

Further ongoing projects at the firm include the 50m Hull 42 scheduled for delivery in late 2017, and the 48m Chasseur (Hull 40). Silver Lining's 50m sistership, Hull 38, has also been moved into production and is scheduled to be delivered in early 2018.
