Dutch yard Claasen Shipyards last week launched a 23-metre (75-foot) chase boat called Stargazer.
Launched on 11th April, Claasen’s latest project is its first collaboration with fellow Dutch yard Vitters.
Stargazer has been billed as a “large classic lined motorboat”. Her naval architecture, exterior design and interior styling has been handled by Hoek Design Naval Architects – the 27th collaboration between Claasen and Hoek.
Company owner André Hoek noted that Stargazer has a “timeless and classic design, which perfectly fits the style of the mothership”.
Built from a lightweight aluminium hull, the yacht features a 6.6-metre beam and has been built as a support vessel for a sailing superyacht.
She will be used to transport guests from the short to the mothership, hold extra stores and serve as a diving platform in shallow lagoons. Stargazer will also be able to accommodate additional crew and guests across two double cabins and a twin cabin.
Power comes from two 912hp Scania engines for a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
