Meros has launched a new ownership model that exclusively uses Sunseeker yachts, offering yacht ownership to an emerging new market of sharing economy customers. The ‘Meros Sunseeker Co-Ownership’ combines the dream of owning a yacht with the convenience of a charter, allowing up to four owners to invest in equal shares in brand new Sunseeker vessels.
This new initiative is expected to revolutionise and expand the yacht ownership market, allowing a new generation of yacht owners to participate in and enjoy the luxurious lifestyle alongside one of the world’s most renowned yacht brands. The first Sunseeker vessel to be offered is the incredible M/Y Blue Infinity 86 Yacht, which will be managed by Meros in association with the team at Sunseeker London Group.
Commenting on the launch, Martin Huber, managing director at Meros said, “Our co-ownership/yacht sharing platform has been designed around the owners’ desires and expectations. We know that they have nothing but peace, adventure and exploration ahead of them once they join the Meros-Sunseeker family. From recruiting the first-class crew, to providing exceptional gastronomy, arranging berthing, insurance, and administrative responsibilities, we have it covered. Simply sit back and enjoy the unique luxury of life on the water that only Meros management, paired with a Sunseeker yacht, can offer.”
With the easing of travel restrictions in many countries, there is a sudden demand from people looking to invest in luxury leisure and recreational activities and experiences, yet more people are looking to divide resources and ownership as opposed to sole purchase. The goal of this initiative is for Meros to expand the luxury boat market with a quality driven alternative, as a result bringing in a new generation of customers.
The first yacht available for shared ownership with Meros is the renowned M/Y Blue Infinity which stands at 25 metres (83 feet) long. Chris Head, director of sales and Sunseeker London Group, said, “M/Y Blue Infinity is a seductive combination of style and exclusivity; this 86 Yacht really does deliver on all fronts. From bow to stern, every detail has been crafted to perfection. We’re excited to be involved in bringing this new concept of yacht ownership across the Mediterranean to the market.”
“As well as joining the Meros Members Club, Meros co-owners will be a welcome addition to the Sunseeker Family. This exclusive network includes invitations to our new model launches, International Boat Shows & VIP events and owner cruises. Through Meros, we’re offering Sunseeker yacht ownership at a quarter of the cost. Simple, honouring your time and our heritage, while always prioritising your experience.”
