Codecasa launches 50m superyacht Gazzella

On Saturday 20th June, Cantieri Navali Codecasa launched the Codecasa 50 M/Y Gazzella in a strictly private ceremony at their shipyard in Viareggio, Italy.

Designed by the Codecasa shipyard technical staff, in collaboration with the trusted yard’s designers, Gazzella is the first 50-metre unit of the Vintage Series, recognisable by her straight bow and traditional exterior lines. According to the brand, she is a design that was created with the aim of finding the perfect balance between the past and present.

With four decks, Gazzella is a displacement yacht with steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She boasts large interior and exterior spaces with her traditional exterior lines combining with her classic and rich interiors.

The interior layout features a VIP cabin and large owner’s suite on the main deck, plus two double cabins and two twin cabins on the lower deck, each connected by a four-person elevator that travels the four floors from the lower deck to the sun deck.

A range of valuable materials have been utilised for the interior of this Vintage Series yacht, with mahogany wood and plume throughout, as well as intricate flooring that contains marble and onyx.

Gazella has a gross tonnage of approximately 700 tons, and a zero speed stabiliser system allowing her to make oceanic cruises in all weather conditions. To power her, two Caterpillar 3512C marine engines provide 2,365hp each, giving a fuel capacity of 140,000 litres and a maximum speed of 17.5 knots. She offers a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

The hull was sold to a client of Ocean Independence brokerage during her construction.
