In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Cycling charity Cogs 4 Cancer has announced the itinerary for 2017 and launched a new website as part of preparations for this year’s efforts.
Aiming to raise €1,000,000 in 2017, the ride will take cyclists from London to Antibes, in a gruelling ten-day mission of over 1,400km to raise money for cancer charities.
In a press release, professional coach and bike fitter Nick Marshall said it was by far the charity’s “toughest challenge to date”; riders are set to cycle an average of 150km per day, spending anywhere between seven and 10 hours on the bike every day. According to Cogs 4 Cancer, there is an optional summit of Mt. Ventoux on day eight of the ride.
Currently, 35 cyclists are participating in the event, including Yachting Pages’ MD Steve Crowe, with space for one more cyclist.
Sponsors include Yachting Pages, Camper & Nicholsons, Ocean Independence, Internett, and SYM Superyacht Management.
Additions to Cogs 4 Cancer, its support team includes Phillipe Reynaud from Osteopaths Riviera Osteo; chef Ruth Williams will be helping with food; Mark Cox will run the support cans for cyclists; Stephany Raimond will be ride co-ordinator, and Nick Marshall will be offering free bike and technique support, as well as joining the charity’s ‘Top Cycle’ van.
The ride will begin on Wednesday 4th October from London, finishing at “The View” in Juan Les Pins on Saturday 14th October.
