In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
KNS Inc., a market leader in design, manufacture and integration of marine communication systems, has announced the launch of its proprietary web-based software to allow ships to control and monitor remotely their antennas, regardless of how far the operator is from the antenna control unit (ACU).
With engineers and captains requiring better management to the status of their antennas, KNS believe that their web interface will enable them to provide improved decision making and ultimately, increased safety and service.
Commenting on the new software, a director of KNS said, “Our new software is very easy to use and provides a maximum of 16 different IDs for one antenna. Each ID requires a separate password to ensure security and controlled access and is available via PC, iOS, Android or mobile phone. We are confident that our users will enjoy using this software as no training is required as the remote display is exactly the same function and operation as the ACU”.
Additional features to the software include the ability to have all information regarding monitoring the antenna to be visible on the one page. This incorporates any errors, sensor voltage and a graph showing the satellite carrier spectrum analyser.
There is also a dedicated function for saving error data codes which can be logged by time and by error code. This information can be stored with its 8GB memory bank and can be searched at a later stage under a specific date or time span.
