Costa Palmas announces Lucas Bröcker as marina director

Lucas Bröcker has been announced as Costa Palmas marina director following his completion of a 1000-slip marina project, which is home to some of the largest superyachts in the world.

Born and raised in Latin America, Bröcker is from a multi-cultural background and has lived around the globe. A spirit of adventure and a passion for the sea inspired Lucas to sail the world for seven years, while building his reputation within the yachting industry. Bröcker pivoted into a land-based career in 2012 after earning his master’s degree in Barcelona, which led him to begin working at Port Vell.

Lucas Bröcker, marina director at Costa Palmas, commented, “I am thrilled to be here at Costa Palmas. The coastline naturally suits as a fun cruising ground. This combined with the vision for the Costa Palmas Marina made the decision to be part of this project a natural transition. I have a passion for Latin America and see the incredible potential of the Sea of Cortez growing into an exceptional destination for yachting, and am honoured to be part of what will become a renowned and coveted marina.”

Centrally located within Costa Palmas, the marina will eventually feature 300-slips for yachts up to 70 metres in length (230 feet). Yacht owners will be able to enjoy a marina that features comprehensive services including private dockage, a drystack system, yacht maintenance services, tailored provisioning, fueling services and more.

Surrounding the Costa Palmas Marina will be the Marina Village, showcasing artisanal boutiques, a selection of signature and casual dining options, waterfront gathering spaces and luxurious residences with outstanding ocean and marina views.

Bröcker continued, “Each newly built marina usually takes a few years to completely fill, however we are noticing a high demand for a marina along this stretch of coastline. The amenity portfolio and services at the Marina Village, Yacht Club and Costa Palmas Marina are sophisticated and elevated, offering an experience unlike any other in Mexico or around the world.”

The semi-private marina at Costa Palmas is currently being built with phase one opening at the start of 2022 alongside the Marina Village, which will be home to Mozza Baja, a coffee bar and a curated retail experience.
