Crescent Custom Yachts’ 144.2m in-build superyacht, Crescent 145 has been pictured leaving the shed at the shipyard’s U.S facility ahead of her August launch, when she will become the brand’s flagship vessel.
A tri-deck with interior and exterior design by Jonathon Quinn Barnett and naval architecture by Jack Sarin, she is the first yacht to emerge from the U.S yard for many years due to the decline in the Canadian yacht-building industry in the early 2000s.
Fraser Yachts sold the Crescent 145 back in July 2014, with construction stalling on the project until October 2015 while Tim Charles worked to acquire back the business that had been previously sold by his grandfather and Crescent Yachts founder, Jack Charles in 2005.
She has several key features on board, including an owner’s suite on the main deck, and four further cabins giving her accommodation for up to ten guests in total. She will also have accommodation for up to nine crewmembers.
Built to Lloyd’s classification with a semi-displacement GRP hull and composite superstructure, she will be powered by twin MTU 16V 4,0000 engine units that produce a total output of 5,470hp.
