Brooklin Boat Yard has revealed designs for a new flagship sailing yacht, currently under construction.
Due to be launched in 2018, the sloop is currently being built for a repeat client under the name Custom 91, with a cold-moulded wood on her hull and superstructure. Her hull is due to be constructed by Rockport Marine before she is fitted out by Brooklin Boat Yard.
Naval architecture is to be completed by Bruce Johnson, and Custom 91’s flush-deck design will include a central cockpit and single helm station located back aft. She is a single-masted sailing yacht, and will be powered by one 300hp Cummins 6.7l engine.
Steve White, president of Brooklin Boat Yard commented, “We are very pleased to be building a third boat for this customer. He’s a very experienced yachtsman who is a pleasure to collaborate with. His interest in sailing performance is equalled only by that of the designers and builders.”
On board Custom 91 is accommodation for six guests, across a master cabin and two twin rooms. There is also a single crew cabin with room for two staff. A tender garage can be found in the transom of the vessel, holding twin davit cranes to launch an inflatable tender.
Brooklin Boat Yard is also currently building a 22m sloop designed by Botin Partners, due to be launched towards the end of 2016.
