Italian shipyard Custom Line has announced that the first model in its new Navetta 33 line of yachts launched recently on June 22.

The new 33m tri-deck yacht, designed in collaboration with Zuccon International Project, has proved very popular with buyers with five hulls already sold; three of which are due for completion in 2017.

The 33 features a bulbous bow for greater stability and seaworthiness, while her maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles allows for extended cruises.

Alberto Galassi, CEO of parent company Ferretti Group said, “The Navetta 33 will define the nautical landscape in the years to come with its irresistible beauty. It outclasses every other boat within the same category — it’s essentially in a league of its own.” 

Accommodation is made up of a full-beam owner’s cabin on the main deck, with five further staterooms able to sleep an additional 10 guests. Sliding windows feature on the upper deck, allowing it to transform between an indoor and outdoor space. 

The yacht features a flexible joint in its transmission lines to absorb shaft vibrations. Hydraulic fin stabilisers are fitted as standard on the model, with the option to install a gyroscopic stabiliser system from Seakeeper.

This first hull will be fitted with a 2,800hp MAN V12 set-up that tops out at 15 knots. According to the yacht builder, MAN and Caterpillar engines will also soon be made available for the line, with the most powerful option generating 3,244hp for a top speed of 16 knots.

Following the successful completion of sea trials, the first Custom Line Navetta 33 will be presented at a private event in Ibiza next month, while the public debut will come in September at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
