In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Dominator Ilumen has expanded its range to feature the 36-metre (118-foot) and 38-metre (125-foot) tri-deck Ilumen vessels, following the success of the 28-metre (92-foot) Ilumen.
The new Ilumen models will be custom creations with engineering packages by NavalHEAD, and the team is said to still be seeking the ideal high-performance hull suitable for the larger models of the Ilumen range.
On board the new 36 and 38m Ilumen yachts, guests can enjoy a luxurious outdoor beach area and bar, and the beach platform can serve as a diving board, or be used for launching the yacht’s own array of tenders and toys. Indoors, there is an option to integrate a gym or media lounge, or have the addition of a Jacuzzi on the 36m model.
The 36m and 38m tri-deck Ilumen yachts will feature custom designs and materials decided by their respective owners.
Having put together a colour scheme of light shades that contrast against darker wood, textures and mosaic adornings of the 36m model, Luca Catino, interior designer, commented, “Interior yacht design is constantly evolving and relies on the visual perception and sensitivity in the use of materials. The colours and simplicity of the shapes used on an Ilumen ensure the sense of serenity on board while simultaneously reflecting the ultimate elegance and luxury.”
The 38m tri-deck will be equipped with M73L engines that can power a maximum speed of 21.7 knots in half-load condition, although owners can also opt for the M93L engine which can reach approximately 24 knots.
Electric stabilisers have been chosen for the 38m tri-deck for ultimate comfort on a larger vessel when at anchor and underway.
Angela Pernsteiner, CEO of Dominator Yachts, commented, “At Dominator, every project is unique. The Ilumen range not only revolutionised our brand, but it pushed the 38M tri-deck engineering forward to the next step and now marks a milestone especially dedicated to the 20 years of the Dominator brand and to celebrate the history of 1999 – 2019. We are on a quest for facilities suitable for this megayacht build as our current shipyard is limited in height and not directly next to the water. Furthermore, this build will be also done in an environment used to construct, outfit and finish the yachts to the highest megayacht standards.”
