After a year of successful sea trials and innovation awards for the Kymeta flat panels and terminals, e3 Systems has now announced commercial availability of the evolutionary products, and named Port Denia and Rybovich as the first two superyacht facilities certified to install them.
Launched in early 2017, the Kymeta panels are the world’s only electronically scanning flat satellite antennas and terminals, and they are now available for use on superyachts through exclusive superyacht-distribution partner, e3.
Port Denia near Valencia, and Rybovich in West Palm Beach, have been appointed as the first e3 Certified Installation Centres of the Excellence in Innovation 2017 award-winning product, with more set to be announced in the coming months.
Offering seamless connectivity, the US East Coast single-panel solution is ready to ship now, while the Mediterranean solution will follow closely before the end of the year.
The single panel is priced around $63,500 and comes with all the associated hardware and an X7 modem, as well as 12 months of Kymeta KĀLO airtime service that delivers 40GB of data per month at 4Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up speed.
Further airtime providers are due to be announced in the near future, to give customers the best range of tariffs to suit whatever data requirements they may have.
