Echo Yachts releases new Adventure Support Yacht ‘Project Echo’

Australian custom superyacht builder Echo Yachts has unveiled a new Adventure Support Yacht named 'Project Echo', designed in collaboration with Bannenberg & Rowell Design, Triton Submarines and Incat Crowther Naval Architects.

The 496 GT vessel has exterior stylings by Bannenberg & Rowell, and is designed on a heavy seas offshore catamaran platform intended to optimise performance, fuel efficiency, cargo space and stability, long range cruising safety, and long range cruising capability.

Chris Blackwell, project manager of Echo Yachts, commented, “[Project Echo is] a stylish and charter ready Adventure Yacht in its own right and, alternatively, an extremely versatile Yacht Support Vessel to a larger mother ship.”

Project Echo boasts a number of innovative technological features, including a custom designed Caley A-frame submarine Launch and Recovery System (LARS).  LARS was developed by Caley with Echo Yachts to fold and stow flat into the cargo deck, allowing for Helicopter landing operations or additional cargo deck space.

Other features include a cargo deadweight carry capacity of 40 tonnes, integrated deck cargo transfer rail/tie down system and dedicated undercroft protection, technical lockers for Submarines, and a secondary 12 tonne knuckle boom crane.

The interior layout, technical equipment and exterior finishes are customisable, and the yacht is offered with an immediate project start and build slot.
