Echo Yachts successfully launches and delivers 46m Charley

Echo Yachts, Western Australia’s largest superyacht builder, has announced the launch and delivery of 46m composite catamaran shadow vessel, Charley.

According to a statement from Echo Yachts, Charley is the “largest composite resin infused vessel ever to be built in Australia.” Her naval architecture was completed by LoMocean, with custom design by Echo Yachts.

She is said to feature “extremely spacious” interior and exterior accommodation and entertaining areas, with a large capacity for tenders and other water toys, as well as “superior seakeeping and fuel efficient performance.”

A standout feature on board is the 12m custom carbon-fibre catamaran tender, which has a specially engineered launch and retrieval platform, and is located at the stern of the vessel.

Other notable features include a large helicopter touch-and-go pad, dive store, decompression chamber and specialist sonar equipment for “wreck finding and diving adventures.”

Charley’s design and construction took two and a half years from inception to delivery. Echo Yachts explained that her high standard of finish is due to the “latest 3D-design and five-axis mould cutting and vacuum resin infusion techniques employed.”

Echo Yachts is also currently building 84m White Rabbit Golf, which, on completion, will be the largest trimaran superyacht in the world, and the largest to be built in Australia. According to Echo Yachts, the vessel will also be the “first diesel-electric superyacht to be built in Australia, and the largest aluminium superyacht in the world.”
