Eddie Jordan resigns as Oyster Yachts group director

Eddie Jordan, the Formula 1 motor racing celebrity and established yacht owner, has resigned as a non-executive director of UK-based Oyster Yacht Holdings Ltd.

Oyster Yacht Holdings Ltd is the ultimate holding company of the Oyster Yachts brand, controlled by Richard Hadida. Jordan was appointed as a director in March 2019 after owning several yachts over the years, including a number of Sunseekers, and Oyster 885 and his current vessel, a 45-metre (148-foot) Perini Navi sail superyacht.

A spokeswoman for Oyster commented, “Oyster Yachts changes its director over a three-year period and a number of new directors will be appointed soon. It is planned that Eddie will take on a new ambassador role for Oyster in the near future.”

Jordan was made a director for Oyster Yacht Holdings Ltd following Hadida saving Oyster Yachts from going into administration. Both Jordan and yacht designer Rob Humphreys were appointed as non-executive directors, as were Ashley Highfield, a high-ranking board member for a number of blue-chip companies and institutions, and investment banker Ivan Ritossa.
