Environmentally responsible directory: Yachting Pages braces for launch of 2020 Med Book

Yachting Pages Media Group is undertaking final preparations ahead of the launch of its 2020-21 Mediterranean directory, which this year boasts eye-catching improvements to the layout, a brand new environmental section, and is once again 100% recyclable.

The 17th edition remains at the same blockbusting size as last year, and perfectly aligns with Yachting Pages’ eco-friendly business objectives for the year ahead.

Shining a spotlight on yacht and superyacht services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the first physical copies of the Med book will be available by the end of April.

The newest edition of the directory will include 23,000+ listed suppliers and services, with very detailed port and marina maps for superyacht crew cruising the territory. The 2020/21 book, as always, complements the industry’s largest digital superyacht resources on YachtingPages.com and the Yachting Pages App.

Being an environmentally conscious business is something that has been important to Yachting Pages for many years now, and this is echoed throughout a number of innovations that have been implemented this year.

The Med directory has always been recyclable, but this year the business has taken extra measures to reduce its impact on the environment. The book has been printed on fully recycled paper and it has been coated for the first time in a biodegradable laminate. Italian printer L.E.G.O, who the business is once again working with to produce the 2020/21 directory, has fully committed to a policy of energy saving as well as pollution and waste reduction. It has been awarded The Imprim Vert trademark, which denotes that its plants are responsibly managed and do not disperse polluting agents into the environment.

The book will also include a new environmental section where Yachting Pages will be promoting companies and businesses that provide eco-friendly solutions to services and products. This will expand crew choices and hopefully encourage the industry to think a little greener.

Proudly sponsoring this year’s front cover and spine for the fourth year in a row are SYM Superyacht Management and Nautech Group, while Yachting Pages’ historic relationship with Lürssen continues, with the world-class shipyard holding its place on the back cover.

Once the climate around COVID-19 clears up and border restrictions are relaxed, Yachting Pages will be hand-distributing copies to superyacht crew in the South of France from via Yachting Pages’ hand delivery service, Yachting Pages Delivers (YPD). This will also be followed by deliveries to superyacht crews across the Mediterranean on YPD distribution trips in Mallorca, Italy, Spain and Greece. More information on this will follow soon.

In tandem with hand deliveries, once boat shows are able to take place, Yachting Pages will also be distributing copies of its directories at any important boat show that it attends.

If you are interested in receiving a copy of the 2020/21 Mediterranean directory, you can enquire about obtaining a copy from your most local Yachting Pages stockist, or request a copy via email.

Steve Crowe, Yachting Pages Media Group found and CEO, said, “This copy of the Yachting Pages Mediterranean directory is particularly exciting for the business for a number of reasons; the huge myriad of amazing superyacht services that have chosen to advertise in this year’s book, the limited impact these directories will have on the environment and the brilliant advertising solutions we have offered to our clients.

“The powerful branding that has made Yachting Pages an unmistakable force within the industry enables our books to be instantly recognisable by superyacht crew the world over. The size of books highlights the continued popularity and return on investment that Yachting Pages offers.”

Yachting Pages Media Group has two other regional directories: Yachting Pages USA, The Americas & Caribbean and Yachting Pages Australasia, Asia-Pacific & Far East will be available later this year, with the booking deadline set in June 2020.

Follow us on FacebookTwitterLinkedIn and Instagram ahead of the directory’s launch for exclusive updates.
