Dutch yard Feadship has delivered its 58-metre (190-foot) superyacht Najiba to her owner, three months post-launch. Her maiden voyage is now underway after she departed the Netherlands for Bergen, Norway, at the weekend.
Najiba is a full-aluminium superyacht that comes from the boards of Philippe Briand under the London studio’s Vitruvius brand of yachts. Studio Liaigre’s Guillaume Roland is responsible for her interiors while MCM acted as owner’s representatives during the build.
The design of the vessel is a result of a three-year collaboration between the designer and the owners. Having previously owned two yachts, the experienced owners were attracted to the design team for its Da Vinci-inspired architecture and design approach.
The minimalistic yet striking interior boasts immaculate white surfaces contrasting with wood features, imitating a beachside villa.
Peter Wilson, project manager of Najiba, stated at the launch that Feadship had managed to “bridge the gap between dream and reality”.
The superyacht has previously been described by designer Philippe Briand as a “Mediterranean boat with plenty of accommodation and a nice aesthetic”.
Featuring a 10.95-metre beam and a 2.6-metre draught, the motor yacht presents a top speed of 16 knots with a cruising speed of 12 knots.
