Italian yard Ferretti Group has launched a social media campaign to encourage donations to support hospitals across Italy amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Instagram campaign, named A Wave of Caring, reaches out to the yachting industry to make donations via individual GoFundMe pages set up for hospitals dealing with the virus. Riva, CRN Yachts, Pershing, Wally, Custom Line and Ferretti Yachts, all brands under the Ferretti Group, provided links to fundraising pages that will help selected hospitals in Milan, Forlì, Rimini, Pesaro, Bergamo, Ancona, and Rome.
The shipbuilder commented in a statement, “Ferretti Group is making all possible initiatives available to their people to ensure work activities are managed in maximum safety. Ferretti Group shipyards are a point of reference for each regional network both in production and social terms: we could not fail to make our contribution to the cause and we invite everyone, in this time of need, to support Italian hospitals.”
Two of the hashtags that accompany the campaign read #ProudToBeItalian and #AndraTuttoBene, which translates to 'everything will be fine'.
