First Extra 93 Superyacht Launched

Palumbo Yachts has launched the first hull in its Extra 93 series. The 28.5-metre (93-foot) yacht was designed inside and out by long-term collaborator Francesco Guida.

Constructed in composite, the yacht features “sizeable, seamless exterior windows”, which give the impression of being “inside a large crystal dome”, the yard said.

Four guest cabins sit on the lower deck; two VIPs and two singles, all with en suites. The crew accommodation sits on the same deck and consists of three cabins and two bathrooms, as well as a dinette and laundry room.

The master cabin on the main deck takes advantage of the yacht’s 7.8-metre beam, and on the main deck is the large saloon and pantry amidships. The exterior upper deck is an open-air living area and features sofas, chaise-lounges and a 12-seat dining table. A second relaxation area sits at the bow while the galley and bridge also sit on the upper deck.

Three 1000-hp Volvo Penta IPS engines allow for a maximum speed of 18.5 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

The 93 will be exhibited at the Cannes Yachting Festival, alongside the 86 and 86 Fast next month. Meanwhile the 130 Alloy series flagship will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, also in September.
