Italian shipyard Cantiere Delle Marche recently revealed that its first Nauta Air III superyacht is currently under construction, during an announcement at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
Measuring 33m long, she is a tri-deck displacement yacht with a steel hull. According to sales manager Vasco Buonpensiere, the III is due to become the yard’s flagship yacht once she is launched in 2017. According to reports from Boat International, she has already been sold to a Latin American yachtsman earlier in the year.
The III has been developed in collaboration with Nauta Yachts, with the studio designing her naval architecture and both interior and exterior styling. According to reports, her design is inspired by some of the world’s largest explorer yachts.
Ennio Cecchini, CEO of Cantiere Delle Marche spoke earlier this year about the new Nauta Air range, commenting, “Nauta Air represents for us the combination of the luxury and the contemporary style of a superyacht together with the solidity and reliability of an explorer yacht.”
On board the III is accommodation for up to ten guests across five cabins, with crew quarters allowing for up to five staff. The III is powered by two diesel engines and able to reach a maximum speed of 13 knots. She also has a maximum range of 7,500nm when cruising at nine knots.
