Fraser opens new office in Greece

Brokerage company Fraser Yachts has opened a new office in Athens, Greece. The new office honours the position of Greece as one of the main maritime hubs of the Mediterranean.

With locally-based staff, the new facility will provide additional on-site client support for sales and purchase, new construction, project management, yacht management, charter management, crew placement and charter vacations, for both existing and future clients based in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Raphael Sauleau, CEO of Fraser Yachts, said, “I think it is befitting that in the year we are so proud to celebrate our landmark 75 years of support, guidance and service for clients worldwide, that we now open the doors to our 17th and newest location, in what is not only the birthplace of democracy but all things maritime. Of course, we already work with many Greek and Eastern Mediterranean-based clients across all of our services, whether as owners, charterers, captains or crew, but importantly our new team in Athens now increases our ability to be with those clients exactly when they need us and more often.”

The Athens team will be headed by sales broker Vassilis Fotilas, charter specialist Eleni Skourti, safety superintendent Nikoletta Samiotaki, and sales and charter assistant Stravroula Mpnounou.

Fotilas commented, “Having been with Fraser Yachts for 15 years, I am extremely proud we are opening our office in my homeland, especially during our 75th anniversary. Greece is one of the world’s best yachting destinations and offers incredible opportunities for owners and charterers to explore and experience the unrivalled natural beauty of Greece by sea along with her renowned history, heritage and culture. In fact, this year Greece is currently the second most popular charter destination in the world for Fraser clients, after Italy, accounting for 18% of all charter weeks booked by our clients in 2022.

“It also offers an exceptional infrastructure for yacht owners of all size ranges and indeed for their captains and crew. Our physical presence today acknowledges and reinforces our place as an integral part of that infrastructure and the complete offering of support for all our clients, no matter how they enjoy their yachting.”
