Gill announces Performance Boots which are “built to compete”

Gill, the technical sailing clothing specialist, has announced a new breathable boot collection, which will be the brands most technical breathable and waterproof footwear to date.

Two years of research and development has been invested into the collection, with constant testing being applied in order to create the ultimate in durable sailing boot.

The boots are manufactured using a unique combination of tough TPU lightweight molding for the foot bed, in conjunction with a breathable laminate membrane. These features are the key to the water resistence and breathable comfort of the collection. 

The Performance Boots are available in two designs, including the classic tall Performance Boot for harsh offshore conditions, and the shorter Performance Race Boot, designed specifically for use in high activity environments where agility and grip make all the difference.

The Gill proprietary sole, with its unique repeat design will be used on both styles, providing brilliant grip and flexibility on deck. Water dispersal channels are in place to prevent the worry of aquaplaning.

The classic tall Performance Boot will feature a grab-handle system making the boots easy to get on in a hurry, while the Race Boot will be extremely lightweight and easy to wear, allowing it to be thought of as a waterproof sailing trainer.
