Greenline 48 Hybrid announced for SCIBS

One of the boats on display at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), which is scheduled for 21st to 24th May, is the eco-friendly Greenline 48 Hybrid; an energy efficient bluewater cruiser.

As exhibitor space on the marina fills fast and with very limited berths remaining, the Greenline 48 is on her way from Sydney to Sanctuary Cove where she will be on show under the Windcraft Group banner.

Peter Hrones, managing director at Windcraft commented, “The Greenline Hybrid range uses up to four times less fossil fuel in a year than a planing power boat. In electric mode it will never create smoke, emissions, noise or waves.

“This is a luxury motor yacht that drastically reduces the carbon-emission footprint of a boating family. Solar panels and a lithium ion battery mean the boat is a mobile power station, generating a constant supply of electric power on board. This power supplies the boat’s full-sized fridge (270 Litre), electric oven, TV, AC and other home appliances on board.”

Inside the clever design is ample space for entertaining and all the creature comforts required during long passages. The aft deck flows seamlessly into the saloon, which comprises a large lounge/dinette for eight people, adjacent to the open galley with all mod cons. Large, wrap-around windows throughout allow for unimpeded views and light.

The owner’s cabin can be used as two beds or one queen. In addition, there are two guest cabins and a separate guest bathroom. Above, the huge flybridge has its own galley with sink, fridge, BBQ grill and bimini for shade.
