Holland Marine Lifts opens subsidiary office in USA

Dutch yacht lift and elevator specialist Holland Marine Lifts (HML) has opened a subsidiary company, HML Elevators Inc., in the United States.

Based in Virginia, HML Elevators will mainly focus on service and maintenance work in North and Central America.

Discussing the opening of the new subsidiary, Holland Marine Lifts CEO Emile van de Starre noted, “We already perform a lot of work in these regions for both the superyacht as well as the offshore industry. However, because of the physical distance between The Netherlands and the United States, a lot of time and money is wasted on travelling.

“By having an office in the region, we expect to be able to better tend to the needs of our existing clients. In addition to that, we expect it to also help reach potential new clients, of which there are many of in both South-, Central- and North America.”

Besides service and maintenance work, the new subsidiary company will also perform as a sales office for new-build projects. HML is already active in new-build projects in Canada and sees ample opportunities in the United States. With a local sales representative, the firm is confident that these opportunities will be seized in the coming months.
