Horizon delivers and names sixth FD85 yacht Julind

The sixth hull in the Horizon FD85 series of fast displacement yachts has successfully completed sea trials and been delivered to her Australian owner.

Christened Julind, she has embarked on her maiden voyage from Kaohsiung, in Taiwan, to Australia.

Designed by Cor D. Rover, the 26-metre (85-foot) superyacht features expansive living and entertaining spaces, fulfilling the owner’s request for a ‘party yacht’.

A keen water sports enthusiast, the yacht features a number of customised options specified by the owner. She features a storage area for dive gear next to the tender garage, which also includes a fuelling station.

Horizon also added a fillet table on to the hydraulic swim platform to enable the owner to clean and prepare freshly caught seafood.

Julind has also been fitted with a helipad to accommodate guests travelling to and from the yacht – Horizon built a carbon fibre bridge hardtop to meet the structural support needed for this to be included.

Julind was built in compliance with Australian AS/NZ power standards and is powered by twin MAN 1,200hp engines for a top speed of 16.6 knots at half load.
