Icon Yachts reveals the Gotham Project

Netherlands-based shipyard, Icon Yachts has announced its latest yacht, named the Gotham Project and scheduled for delivery in Spring 2019.

Brokerage firm Bristow-Holmes has partnered up with designers ER Yacht Design to bring the 45.84m aluminium yacht together. Naval architecture has been completed in house by Icon Yachts in partnership with Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

The Gotham Project, which got its name from the fictional city of Gotham, is the first in a series of yachts to be built by Icon and Bristow-Holmes together. She has a beam of 85.m and maximum draught of 6.1m.

Situated on the aft bathing platform, a recessed waterside bar unit welcomes and entertains clients on arrival or during water sports activities. Seating for up 16 guests can be found on the large aft cockpit, alongside a bathing area and plunge pool.

The sundeck also has seating for 16 guests around two unique dining tables with glass tops that allow natural light to penetrate through the tables and the subsequent glass panels.

The Gotham Project also has a large flybridge with a central staircase to the sundeck, symmetrical bar units to port and starboard, and large ‘u-shaped’ seating around rise and fall hydraulic coffee tables with rotating table tops that convert to form an extremely large sun pad.

Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology was introduced to the project to design, supply and install the entire electrical system.
