IGY Marinas hires new general manager at American Yacht Harbour St Thomas

IGY Marinas has recently appointed Lee Hicks, the former dockmaster from Yacht Haven Grande Marina in St. Thomas as the new general manager of American Yacht Harbor located on the east end of the island.
A former captain and co-pilot, Lee Hicks’ strengths lie in customer service, staff management and berthing occupancy, making him the ideal candidate for the Red Hook-based property. American Yacht Harbor has 126 slips for yachts up to 110 feet. As the premier sportfish destination in the region, the marina plays host to 4 USVI tournaments and is the most centrally located marina to the North Drop. Popular species include Atlantic blue marlin, white marlin, yellowfin tuna, dolphin, wahoo and more. Additionally, the marina is home to many sportfish charters. Amenities at American Yacht Harbor include an array of retail shops, bars and restaurants, adding the conveniences of entertainment, dining and shopping right on property.
“We are very excited to once again promote from within our company; this is something we take great pride in. Our exceptional staff and management work extremely hard to bring customers the best service the industry has to offer and IGY recognizes and rewards its employees for their efforts,” said Kenny Jones MBE, CMM and Executive Vice President of Operations for IGY.
