Innovative Propspeed coating to be applied on new Horizon Yachts

Propspeed, the leading innovator of underwater foul-release coatings, has announced its latest endorsement from Horizon Yachts. The luxury yacht manufacturer now applies Propspeed as a standard for all new models.

The application of a Propspeed coating provides outstanding protection against fouling and corrosion of running gear and underwater metals.

Joey Lu, marketing director at Horizon Yachts, commented, “Propspeed protects underwater metal components, saving them time and money in maintenance. We apply Propspeed to all our new builds and recommend continued use to our customers to improve their boating experience.”

Since its inception in 1987, Horizon Yachts has emerged as the leading Asian yacht brand in the luxury yacht market and is known throughout the industry for its sophisticated craftsmanship, superior build techniques, and innovative technology.

Chris Baird, CEO at Propspeed, said, “Horizon Yachts is renowned for selecting only the highest quality components for their yachts. We are honoured that they have selected Propspeed as their coating of choice and are confident that their customers are going to be pleased with the performance of our product line.”

Propspeed’s ultra-slick topcoat is specially formulated to prevent marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline. It is proven to increase boat efficiency, protect against corrosion, reduce drag, save fuel and maintenance costs.

It features an exceptionally strong chemical and mechanical bond between the metal substrate, the etching primer and the clear coat, ensuring that the Propspeed coating effectively sticks to running gear and performs season after season.
