International yachting industry event YARE 2021 scheduled for October

The international event Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience (YARE) will be hosting both the yachting industry and captains from 20^th to 22^nd October.

Adopting a new COVID-19 safety approach, YARE will be hosting an in-person experience in Viareggio, one of the leading yachting districts in the world. The event attracts guests such as superyacht captains and those from the international refit and aftersales industry, from Mediterranean and Northern European countries, the USA, Asia and the Middle East.

YARE, which is organised by NAVIGO, the centre for innovation and development for the Tuscan nautical industry, will be hosting activities such as B2C Meet the Captain business meetings. Activities will also include the passerelle pitch, in which leading international companies will compete with innovative projects, and the RINA Awards, which are dedicated to captains.

The event will also be supported by new digital solutions and a series of online activities that will promote networking through platforms such as live streaming, podcasts, workshops and digital meetings. The 10^th edition of YARE, which was successfully held completely online last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attracted an online audience of 2,000 people from 25 different countries.

Vincenzo Poerio, president at YARE, commented, “During the past edition, technology has supported us a lot in organising an innovative event, which has revealed a great success, and it was the first time that this type of yachting event had to deal with full digital. Our hope is, first of all, to overcome the emergency and be able to hold an edition in Viareggio that includes in-presence activities. Nevertheless, the results achieved - also in terms of participation from all over the world – to encourage and convince us to continue with a digital format as well.”
