After the official presentation of a new construction at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) 2014, ISA Yachts announced construction of 65m motor yacht Route 66 is underway.
The vessel, designed by Andrea Vallicelli, is named after the legendary American highway crossing the states from Illinois to California. A full displacement yacht with four spacious decks and an aluminium superstructure and steel hull, she can reach 18 knots maximum and cruises at 16 knots.
The navel architecture is developed in-house by ISA Yachts Technical Department, and is set to be an iconic legend in its segment.
With the overall beauty of superyachts often lost to interior space, she was designed to emphasize the outdoor experience without compromising on the space and comfort expected of such a displacement yacht; built for those who love the sea and like to be outside.
The interior dining room enjoys ample natural light which flows through the full height side bulkhead windows. The beach club, designed by Laura Pomponi of Luxury Projects, offers a full sensatory spa experience with a sauna, emotional shower and hamman.
Onboard, the yacht accommodates 12 guests within five guest cabins, plus the master suite. There is a helipad, mooring area and tender garage for tenders and toys on board, including room for an eight meter rescue tender and jet-skis below deck.
The announcement of this construction at FLIBS 2014 triggered an unprecedented level of US interest in the shipyard’s potential to build superyachts of 60m and above.
The ISA Route 66 is under construction and due to be delivered in spring 2017.
