James Bond-inspired trimaran concept Bond Girl revealed

A James Bond-inspired, 70-metre (229-foot) trimaran concept named Bond Girl has been revealed by superyacht designers George Lucian and Hannah Hombergen.

The concept is characterised by angular lines on the main hull, complete with a standout technical feature and an emission-reducing hybrid propulsion system. The concept's layout includes a main hull that hosts the forward-facing master’s cabin split over two levels.

Hannah Hombergen, superyacht designer behind the Bond Girl concept, said, “Nature is important to us, so we had that in mind when designing Bond Girl. The propulsion system helps to keep the emissions down. We think that experiencing your outside world is important, which is why we positioned the master’s cabin at the front. There are a lot of windows that feature, so it’s like being in your own cocoon with a private view of the sea.”

Accommodation has been designed for a total of 12 guests and includes five classic film-inspired cabins found on the main hull, alongside a large infinity pool aft. The two smaller hulls will host the crew quarters, alongside providing an artificial harbour where tenders can be docked. According to the studio, this set-up also affords Bond Girl a degree of stability while reducing the amount of vibration and noise pollution when the concept is moving.
