Johnson Yachts has launched the latest hull in its 24-metre (79-foot) Johnson 80 series at its Taiwan-based shipyard.
The entry-level superyacht performed “flawlessly” in sea trials, according to the yard, where she reached a cruising speed of 19 knots and a top speed of 27 knots.
Bill Dixon of Dixon Yacht Design is responsible for the superyacht’s exterior, while Fort Lauderdale-based design studio Karen Lynn Interiors leads the interior brief.
Key design features are its bank of vertical windows, inserted for panoramic views from the main deck’s interior and plenty of space for entertaining guests.
The saloon living area sits aft and is dedicated to showcasing the owners’ taste in artwork. The country kitchen is positioned at the bow on the main deck, along with an open galley which features a table and breakfast bar in matching marble.
The Johnson 80 yacht has been designed to accommodate eight guests, consisting of a full-beam master cabin with a walk-in wardrobe and desk, one VIP cabin and two double rooms.
Andy Huang, president of Johnson Yachts, stated during the ceremony, "The latest addition to the Johnson Yachts fleet is sure to impress yachting enthusiasts the world over.
"Combining our proven engineering with the fashionable comforts of Karen Lynn Interior Design will make for an unbeatable result. And the flexibility of the design will appeal to each owner in ways that production builds just can’t match.”
The yacht’s power comes from a pair of Man D2842 LE433 1550hp engines.
