Ken Freivokh takes glass technology to a new level

The 61m motoryacht design from Ken Freivokh Design takes glass technology to a whole new level. Large windows open allowing guests to fully enjoy panoramic views of the sea and similar transparency is also achieved between decks. Even the traditionally closed metal bulwark, has been replaced by glass. A true penthouse afloat and the 62m is a natural progression from the 50m KFD yacht currently in build at Mayra Yachts.

The 61m achieves a very efficient layout, with excellent segregation of circulation between owner, guests and crew.

The master stateroom enjoys a totally private deck, including a study and family saloon and terrace. Rather uniquely, all five guest cabins are on the main deck, enjoying large panoramic windows. Two of the cabins can convert to a private saloon area which fully integrates with the cabin. The VIP cabin is full beam.

The yacht includes a full “beach” complex aft, which features a bar, spa, massage, gym, room for toys and diving equipment. It includes shell doors with a tender landing at both sides and a very open aspect – it is a very special feature for a 61m. Furthermore, the main deck pool feature also relates to the spa at beach level.

The main tender is a 9m Pascoe Beachlander, housed transversely on a floating dock, which also can accommodate up to four jetskis or alternative water toys. There is a full SOLAS multipurpose Pascoe tender forward, ideal for water skiing, wakeboarding, diving and for use as a crew tender.

There is a dual door person lift which can be used by guests and by crew.

The sundeck includes a day head and sheltered bar, with private cinema located on the top deck.

The saloon is designed to create two unique areas, with the forward seating group on a sliding system, allowing it to open up as a single seating group or turn towards the main cinema screen.

The 61m’s design includes graceful arches which are not just ornamental – they take care of engine air ventilation, thus opening the saloon fully to the sea.

There is also the potential for helicopter landing or to develop the foredeck for social use.
