In this Tried & Tested, yacht bedding specialist Sea Design conducts a review into the best duvets, quilts and pillows on the market. It tests a series of leading products to work out the best yacht bedding money can buy.
German jetboard specialist Lampuga has seen its inflatable Lampuga Air win a Red Dot Award in the Sports Equipment and Ships/Trains/Planes categories.
In addition, the water toy also achieved the top rating and snapped up the Red Dot: Best of the Best Award in the Hobby and Leisure category.
An expert jury consisting of 40 international design experts evaluated the products on the basis of 40 different evaluation criteria. These take into account the degree of innovation, functionality, quality and durability, ergonomics and ecological compatibility. The results will be made public on Red Dot’s website in July.
Nicolai Weisenburger, CEO of Lampuga GmbH, noted, "To win the highest honour of the competition beside established brands such as Apple, Bosch, Ferrari and Sony is a huge honor for our young product and team.”
Lampuga will receive the Red Dot: Best of the Best at an official award ceremony in the Essen Opera House on 8th July. Afterwards, the Red Dot Design Museum will present the Lampuga Air board in an exhibition.
